Where is Quinta do Socalco located?

Quinta do Socalco is in Argela, an inland parish of Caminha, with views over the Minho River and the Santa Tecla hill. Address: Calçada da Retorta, 100, 4910-055 Argela. About 6 km from the centre of Caminha, 5 km from the Azenha river beach (Vilar de Mouros, Blue Flag) and 11 km from Moledo beach.

How do I get to the property?

From Porto, take the A28 motorway towards Caminha and use exit 29, even if your GPS suggests exit 28, exit 29 is the correct access to the property. In your GPS, simply type 'Quinta do Socalco' and the destination is identified without needing the full address.

What are the prices and seasons?

Prices vary by unit (room or bungalow), by season (low, mid and high) and by day of the week. You can see the total price for your dates on the Reservations page. The final amount includes accommodation, the Municipal Tourist Tax and 6% VAT. The tourist tax is €1.00 per adult per night from 1 October to 30 April, and €1.50 per adult per night on the remaining days.

What is the cancellation policy?

Bookings are paid in full up to 14 days before check-in. Once payment is confirmed, the reservation is non-cancellable and non-refundable.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, on request. Dogs and cats are welcome and must always be supervised by an adult, for a healthy coexistence with the other guests. Responsibility for the animals always lies with their owner.

Are children welcome?

Children are welcome, but must always be accompanied and supervised. The farm has high terraces, unprotected windows and elevated houses. The owners are not responsible for any damages.

Is breakfast included?

Yes. Breakfast is included in the base accommodation price.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is until 11:00. For arrivals outside these hours, please contact us in advance (+351 930 476 215 / WhatsApp) so we can arrange key handover.

Which beaches are nearby?

Moledo beach (11 km) and Vila Praia de Âncora beach (15 km) are the closest, both a few minutes away by car. The mouth of the Minho River, in Caminha, is 9 km away.
